In this episode of the Share Good JuJu: Positivity Podcast, I’m joined by Nicole Berg-Johnson, a dedicated family nurse practitioner specializing in functional and regenerative medicine. Nicole has a true passion for teaching and excels at asking the right questions to uncover the root causes of health issues, particularly in the realm of metabolic health. She shares her wisdom on how mindful choices about what we put into our bodies can support our healing journey. Nicole also reveals her secret to staying positive—finding those little glimmers of joy throughout the day. Tune in for an inspiring conversation that will leave you feeling empowered and uplifted!

Nicole Berg-Johnson is a Nurse Practitioner with 29 years of healthcare experience. She started as a CNA in a hospital and was a home hospice aide when she was 16 years old. After 8 years as a CNA, she became an RN working with acute patients and spent the majority of her RN years in the ICU. This is where she began to have a solid realization of how broken our healthcare system is. How we help save people’s lives, send them home only to give them no answer, no solution, and no way to know how to keep themselves from avoiding the same crisis again. Nicole went back to school to make a difference in our system and get ahead of this system. It is her calling to change this course for people. To tell them why they are feeling what they do, and to give them the tools and the power to repair the cause instead of prescribing drugs to cover symptoms. Symptoms are simply your body’s way of telling us something is wrong. The source is where real and lasting change can happen. Nicole is in this to help people uncover the root cause and treat the whole body in healing, whether that means less pain, healthier body, or just helping to maintain good health. A true passion of hers!
Nicole’s other passion is her beautiful family! She is married to a wonderful man, and they have 5 beautiful children ages 23, 21, 11, 9, and 3! Nicole also teaches spin at the Waukesha YMCA, which she’s been doing for 20 years! Her homelife is as crazy as her career, and she wouldn’t have life any other way!

In my latest episode of the “Share the Good Juju Positivity Podcast,” I reflect on the insights from the “Kindness Matters” episode, emphasizing the importance of kindness towards others. This time, I shift the focus inward, encouraging listeners to practice self-kindness by avoiding comparisons with others. We often get caught up in measuring ourselves against unrealistic standards, but it’s essential to recognize that everyone is on their own journey. Give yourself grace, acknowledge your progress, and remember—you’re doing great just as you are.

As a small business owner of a local hemp farm, Ana has taken her passion for helping others to a whole new level. With a background in psychopharmacology, counseling and human services, she took a major leap by leaving a career she had always known in order to propel her farming business forward. Working alongside her significant other and best friend, Chris, she is learning from the ground up what it will take to make their business successful. This is a whole new industry of marketing, sales, finance, quality assurance, web design etc. in the e-commerce world - not to mention running a farm - that she has never done before. But she’s doing it, and she’s doing it because she has learned how beneficial and helpful hemp products can be. She wants others to experience these same benefits.

Having worked in a high-stress career while raising an amazing daughter, Emma, as a single mother, Ana learned a long time ago about the importance of self-care. Over the years she continued to find her self returning to a lifestyle of wellness through her diet, activity, and mindfulness. Nearly every day Ana carves out time for yoga or some form of meditation, reflection, or breath work. Given that she also grows hemp, she has found that pairing many of their products with both her practice and daily routine - she has been able to do a lot of internal and external healing.

When attending markets and events, she enjoys talking with others who are also navigating through their own healing journey. Whether it’s sleep issues, body aches, racing thoughts, hangovers, stress, nerve pain, or other ailments - she wants to hear about it! She wants to explore solutions and hopes some of their products can assist. This is often where her education and past professional experience is helpful.

Ana hopes to set their business apart from others by retailing a "farm-to-shelf hemp product” and by having a purpose in helping others as they navigate their own healing and health journeys.

Feel free to peruse Fort Johnson Farms' products online at www.fortjohnsonfarms.com

Ana wants you to know you can always message the farm if you have any questions about what products might be best for you.
